I recently found out about Art House through Blue Bicicletta. I was instantly stunned by the power of inspiration this website and organization wields. They host projects such as the Literary Project, Sketchbook Project, Self-portrait Project, etc. which call for submissions of art (for a small-ish) which are then shown (all of the submissions!) at their new headquarters in Brooklyn, NY. Art House says,Art House creates massive, nationwide art projects that tie hundreds of artists together – and anyone can participate.We started two years ago with the goal of bringing art to the masses. Since we started, we have interacted with thousands of artists from around the world, all brought together with the common goal of creating art and sharing it with each other.
In their FAQ's they encourage everyone to participate,
If you are a professional artist, consider this a unique opportunity to get your work out there and add a show or two to your resume. If you are a first time artist, think of it as a way to inspire you and give you a chance to be in a gallery and see your work on the wall!Anyways, how cool is this? Glad I was able to lead you to the Arthouse! I love how they're taking galllery shows to the next creative level---it's like the show is just as creative of a project as is each piece of art. Now that's amazing!
